The Turkish furniture industry, which brings the power of Turkish furniture to nearly 200 countries and is among the top 3 production bases of the world furniture industry, displayed an average increase of 30% in the first 4 months of 2022. Working with the vision of exceeding the target of 6 billion dollars for the sector in 2023, the sector especially develops its export potential with international fairs.
In this context, at the beginning of this year, IIFF 2022 Istanbul Furniture Fair, which was held for the first time in Turkey at two exhibition centers simultaneously in Tüyap Fair and Congress Center and Istanbul Expo Center, received 107 thousand domestic and approximately 14 thousand from 138 countries abroad. hosted approximately 122 thousand visitors in total. At the fair, where 850 exhibitors and more than 3 thousand brands took part, the foundation of a business connection of 3 billion dollars was laid.
At the fair, R&D and innovation activities were carried out with thousands of product types in many categories, from modern, modular luxury furniture to baby, children and youth furniture, office, school and education and garden furniture in a total of 25 halls, and all products in the field of furniture such as beds, bases and accessory materials. The latest trends in the new generation fabrics that it directs were exhibited.
